Abstract

Vibratory brush conveyors transfer material using a periodically excited, elastic conveying surface. By virtue of their operating principle, they offer greater efficiency and flexibility in parts conveying. However, predicting the achievable conveying speed is presently unknown. This article proposes a basic model to describe the material conveyance on vibratory brush conveyors, and approximates it to the actual motion based on previous measurements. The resulting model enables a sufficient prediction of the achievable conveying speed for practical applications.
